More from Feb. 27

We went biking with some friends, the Stoutenburgs, today. They have a two-seater buggy trailer thingy for the little ones. Liam fell asleep on Kaitlyn's shoulder during the ride. It was so cute! By the time we finished and got back to the cars he was awake, but still resting on Kaitlyn. She wasn't very excited about having another baby in her space at first, but she was fine after a minute. We had lots of fun!

Feb. 25 and 27

Feb. 25Feb. 27

Liam has been getting really mobile. He has no problem rolling all over the room and scooting around. The only problem is that he has only figured out how to move backward. He gets up on his hands and feet for a second. When he goes back down to his belly he has scooted back a tiny bit. If he does it again he generally starts his hands back a few inches, also pushing him backward. Sometimes he gets himself backed into a corner, where he can't get out on his own.

He is also sitting up very well. Mike was vacuuming the stairs the other night and Liam was very interested. I sat him at the top of the stairs, far enough away that he wouldn't topple down, but close enough that he could watch what Mike was doing. I sat behind him, just in case, but I didn't have to catch him even once. He sat there like a big boy. I don't know when these pictures were taken- and they're poor quality from my phone...

Feb. 15

Monday, Feb. 15 we went to Seattle for a Valentine's Day celebration- just for the day. We went last year for Valentine's Day, too, but didn't have the little squirt. It was very fun with him.

He loved seeing all the buildings and people and flowers during the day and all the lights and horses (carriage rides) at night. We had lunch at an Indian place we randomly found while honeymooning a couple of years ago. Liam made a mess of himself, which made for a nice adventure... I don't have pictures of that part of the day... you're welcome.

Next, we went to the visitor's center to get pamphlets to plan our day. We parked on Lenora and 5th (I had to say it over and over so I wouldn't forget) and walked down to the waterfront. Mike is a rebel...

At the end of this video I was trying to read the sign on the building through the viewfinder. I finally was able to read it when I realized I could just read it without looking through the camera. What a dork, right?!

We walked around the Olympic Sculpture Park, which didn't really have a lot of sculptures. This was one of our favorites. Just kidding. We aren't quite there. We were joking that this sprinkler was the attraction. It doesn't really sound as funny now, though. Here are some of the actual sculptures.

The view of the space needle from the park.

It was a very nice day so it was fun to just walk around. Next we walked down the length of the waterfront, just watching people and window shopping. Oh wait! Before the sculptures we ran into a friend! See- Mike even shook his hand to make it official.

Okay, so after walking around the waterfront we walked over to Pike's Place Market, stopping for a McFlurry on the way. The market was closing up, so we didn't see a lot, but there also weren't a lot of people, which made walking through nice.

Finally, we finished up at the Fisherman's, a favorite restaurant on the waterfront, and had a delightful seafood meal! mmm! Liam was so fun the entire time. He is such a cutie.

Liam looks like he's mad, but he's actually giggling.

From Another Angle...

Feb. 12

Just playing with Daddy. I think his face is awesome in this one!

More playing... honestly- he was laughing afterward. No Liams were harmed in the making of this photo.

Mid-spit again. I wish you could all see this kid in real life because he is silly.

I didn't realize until a couple of days ago that Liam likes to sleep in the corner of his crib. I'm not sure how he maneuvers his way over there, but it's pretty cute. I put him to bed one night in the completely opposite corner and 20 minutes later, when we went to bed, he was over in his favorite corner- completely out of his blankets. My son is so silly!

And this was the little cutie after his nap today. I heard him playing and talking- trying to get my attention- when I walked in the room I saw his big bright eyes peeking over the bumper and then he flashed a big ol' toothless grin. He was just asking for a photo.

Liam Wanted In

Liam loves how his mommy's eyes look, too.
