Liam had his 4 month check- up yesterday afternoon. He got his shots, which made him feel like poo, so the smiles have been few and far between today. Tonight, while Mike was working, he was extra cranky, so I gave him a bath. If he's sad or mad or frustrated or tired or otherwise unhappy, a bath is the quickest, most effective pick-me-up. He still looks so weary, but this was a brighter moment of the day.

Another way to calm the munchkin is to let him play in the Johnny Jumper for a while. He spends more time twisting around and eating the straps and side of the seat than actually jumping, but he is catching on. He was particularly enjoying himself this time.
